Days 29 & 30 in Newcastle
June 30, 2008
We were not allowed to share with any of the congregations in Newcastle, the amazing things God is doing! It’s really sad because when we have been given the opportunity, hearts have been lifted and the people of God reminded that ‘Their God Reigns!’

However, God gave me a pulpit in the city centre! This morning Josh, Anthony and myself thought that it would be good to spend an hour giving out tracts & cards in the city centre. We found a great place to stand by the ‘Greys monument’. A man walked up to me and said, “You are allowed freedom of speech here, and no one can stop you as long as you don’t cause a riot”. “Why did he say that”, i thought. Then my heart started to beat quicker- God wanted me to preach.
I got up on the step of the monument and preached about “God’s kind of Love”. Well, maybe this was what God had intended all along! Some great opportunities to share Jesus followed and I thank God for sending that man to give me the nudge.

Marching out of Newcastle through Gateshead ( the place where my wife had her hand on the map whilst praying this morning) a young man by the name of Chris came to faith in Christ after enquiring about the Crownflag. What a day!!
Day 28 – Email from Scots Gap Chapel
June 28, 2008
Over the horizon , out of the wilds of Northumberland came this guy ‘banner raised high’ proclaiming the good news of Jesus . Another John Wesley !! Another John the Baptist !!!
Arriving at the tiny village of Scots Gap was amazing in itself – God inspired Mike to visit us- his chosen church in Northumberland .
What a privilege to welcome him and Mark, for them to stay a while, share a meal, hear their inspirational testimony and leave us greatly encouraged.
The Crown banner was Raised High in our church service on Sunday morning .
Praise the Lord

One minute we don’t have any where to park for the night, and the next, there is a methodist church car park, hospitality of a really special couple, a hot shower, an indian take-away ordered in, and a spontaneous meeting with some members of Scotts Gap Methodist chapel. They even gave Mark keys to the church!

This kind of provison happens regularly and we are of no doubt they are by God’s design!
Crossing over into England
June 26, 2008
We stopped at the border to pray, first of all for Scotland. We prayed for all the seeds scattered along the pathway from Thurso to the border. And we prayed that God would visit Scotland with Revival fire.
Then we turned around and faced England. The Crown Flag proclamation seemed more relevant to say than ever.
A sound of battle is in the land.
The time is fulfilled and the Kingdom of God is at hand.
Repent and believe the good news.
And all this assembly will know that the Lord saves not with sword or spear, for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.
Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up you everlasting doors!
And the King of Glory may come in.
Who is this King of Glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,
The Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O you gates!
Lift up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of Glory shall come in…
(For the rest of this proclamation please see www.crownflag.com)
We are really grateful to God for the ministry of John Masters. It is John Masters who actually received the vision for the Crown Flag in 2001.
It is a great emblem to the honour and majesty of Jesus Christ. It is for believers everywhere to raise up this standard in honour of the King of kings.
Mike Vickers is one of those believers.
While I am bowled over by the God given appointments with people on route, the amount of chances to share Jesus as folk of all ages and backgrounds inquire after the crown flag, I do not forget my primary purpose and assignment.
‘Behold I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.’ (Mark 1:2)
I have always believed that this mission is a forerunner for His visitation.
Also (Luke 10:1) ‘The Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before ‘His face’ into every city and place where ‘He Himself’ was about to go.’
NOTE – Both verses use the phrase ‘before His face’.
To have His face turn towards us is to have His overwhelming favour and kindness poured out upon us. Proverbs 16:15 says “In the light of the king’s face is life. And His favour is like a cloud of the latter rain.”
And so I continue to march through the country before His face, before the Spirit’s outpouring and before the rising of the sons of God.
“And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel says the Lord.” (Ezek 39:29)

Walking through Edinburgh
June 23, 2008
Spent the day walking through Edinburgh today, we received this email from Pastor Steve Aiken:
Mike Vickers and his associates Mark and Mark were a great blessing to us this morning at All Nations Christian Fellowship, Edinburgh. Mike not only shared some exciting testimonies of those touched just by his marching past with his flag but gave encouraging words to myself personally and to our congregation. Each one in our fellowship was blessed just by having Mike and his team join us.
I encourage any church on Mike’s route south to open your doors and let him share what’s been happening just by walking and carrying his flag through our country. You won’t regret it. And, don’t let them leave without a gift to help them on their way.
Mike, thank you for dropping by. You made our day.
God bless,
Steve Aiken, Pastor, All Nations Christian Fellowship, Edinburgh
“that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance…..” (Col 2:2)
It’s such a priviledge to see the Holy Spirit pour out fresh hope and faith, restoring vision to congregations as we pay a fleeting visit. Pray for Pastor Steve who stands spiritually in a very sygnificant place. I received a word for him, “Because of the heart he has for souls, he has been made a gatekeeper for the whole city”.

Marching to Edinburgh
June 21, 2008
Walking along the beside Union canal towards Edinburgh I bumped into a man called Tom Reid, having reeled off my opening lines, he suggested that I was waisting my time, ” there’s no hope for me,” he said, ” I have been a bad man!”
“Well actually,” I replied, “There is every Hope for you”. We talked for about 20mins and at one point God really touched him. He didn’t want me to leave! and asked if we could talk again. I gave him my personal mob. number and told him to call after he had read the tract.
Mark Pickett has joined the team. He arrived at a good moment, but I’ll let him tell you about that.
After being picked up in Edinburgh by Mark Brooks, we drove to meet pastor Mike at his finish point for the day. We found him outside a Hyundai car showroom, talking to one of the salesmen. Apparently, just as PM arrived outside with the Crown Flag, the salesman, Robert, had been having a heated discussion with a christian colleague, who had been…”Trying to convert me!” he told his colleague, “If there is a God, then I need a sign!”…. Immediately after saying that, he noticed someone carrying a huge red flag with a crown on.
When he went outside to ask what the guy was doing on his forecourt, and the meaning of the flag, he pinched his cheeks and said…”I don’t believe this!!!!” He invited Mike in, bought him a coke and related his discussion of a few moments earlier with his workmate. This gave Mike a great opportunity to witness.

Does God have a sense of humour or what! Amen! Mark P.
P.S. Even the highland cattle have heard of the ‘moooove of the spirit’ but Brooksie was just a little eenvious of the hairpeace! LOL!

This next encounter was worth walking 301miles for!
As I approached Bo’ness ( 22 miles outside Edinburgh ) along the A904 and very close to the traffic, the usual bibbing, cheers and ” go-on son” ( and other expressions!!) from passing cars and lorries. A young man who hadn’t seen me coming thought the cars were bibbing at him, then he turned and saw the flag! We chatted for a bit, his name was Simon and on his way to his girl friend’s house. He listened attentively as I explained why the Gospel is good news; he said,” I think God is communicating to me, through you”. Later he said,” it makes sense what you’re saying”. I talked to him about the moment, how God had planned our meeting. He walked the whole length of the town right by my side! Before we parted he had come to a place of seriously considering praying the ’sinners prayer’. He took my private number, so he could phone me when he’d done it.
So, Simon, if your reading this, have you done it yet?
“Heavenly Father, I now see I didn’t know where I was going. I was lost and without true meaning in my life. But now I see that Jesus is the answer and the true way. Forgive me, change me, and set me on the right path. I accept Jesus Christ as my Saviour, Lord and God. Thank you for giving me new life, Amen.”
Also, Hello to David & Lillius from Bo’ness Baptist church, who stopped and chatted to me, thank you for your encouraging words.
Day 19 – Blackford to Cowie (via STIRLING)
June 19, 2008
Last night we were invited to park the motorhome on Rev.Michael Shewan’s drive and he is the Church of Scotland minister of ‘Auchterarder Parish Church’. This morning before we left for Stirling, Michael (the Rev.) felt we should pray together. WOW! What a man of God he is! He laid hands on Mark and I, and prayed an amazing prayer, full of faith and power. We had a really special time of mutual encouragement. I’ve been inspired by at least 3 ministers from the church of Scotland so far!
Arrived in Stirling lunchtime. It appears, someone has nicked the statue of William Wallace! What was the chances of that?
Here’s a couple pictures, ‘Proclaiming the Kingdom’ in Stirling today
