Amazing time in Bradford city centre the flag flew well in the wind, catching a lot of peoples attention giving us great opportunity to share the gospel, two young girls prayed to recieve Jesus, the presence of God fell right there in the middle of the city centre and they didn’t want to leave us. Hallelujah!!!!
It was awesome to walk with Mike for the week to see the Kingdom of God blast anyone who got in its path there was just so many divine encounters with people and I would be here for a week trying to remember them all, amazing to see people in the world so hungry for God. it was also great to see the provision of God on his people, one day we had just about eaten our last meal, the camper was low on diesel and £2 left in the kity. As we were walking Mike found five pence on the ground and felt God say to him, “how much do I have to give you before you give thanks”,so we praised God and it seems mad but within 24 hours that five pence had multiplied 14,000 times.
The bigger picture is through this walk I literaly saw The principalities and powers being pushed back and the Kingdom of heaven forcefully advancing!!! keep going Mike you are shaking the nation.

DAY- 59

July 29, 2008

                                                     Raising the Standard in Derby

Many Seeds Sown on way to Leicester

“THE FIELDS ARE WHITE FOR HARVEST”

Picture Taken by Mike walking through South Derbyshire

This is just amazing! A chef decides to take a day off and meet a mate in town on a glorious sunny day, centre of Nottingham. His mate blows him out last minute, but he still decides, for some reason to go. And who does he meet? “Yep”, a man with a Large flag! Initially I didn’t think the conversation was going anywhere, and then the subject ‘ divine intervention’ was raised! ( by him ) At first he told me that he was a sceptic when it came to faith, but the longer he stayed the softer and more open he became. The presence of God was so there!

We sat down and had a drink together, I must have been with him for 2 hours. I told him that I had come as a result of all the prayers made for him.( his grandparents are christians!) After I prayed for him, he said, that he was going straight out to buy a bible! Talking of journeys, this guy came a long way in just a short while! I think I enjoyed what God did with Darren, the most, so far!!

Here’s a picture of when Darren approached me.

The theme of the service planned a while ago was ’spiritual journeys’ and Celtic Christianity!!!

After the service an elderly lady came up to me and said, “ I wanted to shout hallelujah, but it’s not the done thing around here”. Paul and Annie Trembling kindly let us park the beast of a motorhome on their drive.

Mark Ann has arrived as the new support man!

I had to leave the track for a day and drive down to Rugby to preach at a couples’ wedding ( who used to be my neighbours) Can you spot the Crown flag by the alter? Not sure what the vicar made of it all!

At the reception, it was time for the best man speech: Usual stuff you would expect,  except at the end he told the guests how that the sermon had really touched his heart! This was a bit out of the blue!

After the speeches I went over to the top table to thank the best man and found myself sitting next to the groom’s dad. Remarkably he also was very moved by the message and appeared to be under conviction about his sin! so as i shared about the cross, HE CAME TO FAITH RIGHT THERE AT THE TOP TABLE!!! ( the reception was held in a Masonic Hall) Are you praising God yet?

This lovely old chap said he was going to church in the morning to pray the sinners prayer again! (Please pray for Barney). The former fire chief of Mitcham fire station was present at this wedding, and he too was moved by the gospel message, he later told my wife that his earlier objections to faith were cancelled out!

‘LETS KEEP HEAVEN REJOICING’

It’s been great to have Sam on the team, and I know he has really been impacted whilst touching this amazing journey, all be it the one day! I’ll let Sam give you his account of his experience.

A huge thankyou to Dave & Deidre, the old court rooms, Renishaw;who invited Rich Madeley and myself into their loveley home(which had the most amazing War and Police museum inside it!!!). Thankyou for the wonderful spread you so kindly put out for two strangers passing by. I dont think we will ever forget our time with you!

DAY 53- IN SHEFFIED

July 23, 2008

This is Duncan Steel (see picture above) He was busking in the city centre . Walking passed we recognised a tune. It was one of Godfrey Birtill’s! The three of us stood listening, waiting our chance to talk to this man. Duncan looked rather nervous. Finally we got that chance, and as we began to tell Duncan all about the flag and purpose of the walk he just ‘came alive’. We prayed for him and then WORSHIPPED TOGETHER, it was an awesome time, lots of people stopping and watching! ( but not mocking ) Duncan then sung “like the pioneers that blaze the way….” but at the end he prophetically sang “RISE UP RISE UP RISE UP…” Wow Duncan just got some fire!

Later that day I received a text message from him, to say that he had been really challenged and wanted now to live sold out for Jesus. Praise God another Divine set up!

ON THE ROAD TO SHEFFIED

July 23, 2008

I’ve got Richard Madeley walking with me all this week and he has fire in his belly, he just ‘goes for it’ I’m so blessed to have this father and son team (John & Rich) Soon Richard will be sharing his experiences on the walk, so keep Checking the blog for that. (see pic of Richard below)

2 miles out of Bradford and a ‘not very tall vicar’ chased us down the street. He was taken with the Flag walk, and let us pray for him and his new parish (it was his 1st week as vicar). We laid hands on him by the the side of the road, “Lord pour out your Spirit……….

Walking past a group of children sat on a wall, the shout came, What does the flag mean? asked one of them. “The King is coming”, I shouted back.

“What King, there’s no king around here! said one lad ,”

“Look up higher, He’s coming,” I replied.

Rich and I were astounded to see these kids all staring up into the sky! You had to be there, the moment was so ‘charged’. 5mins later 2 of them ran and caught up with us and whilst taking some tracts out of my back-pack the others arrived. They were so attentive as we spoke about Jesus. “A generation shall rise”

Later a young man called Rick was so impacted by our bumping into him, another young man who’s card is definitely marked! He had just been let off for a minor offence, and on a thoughtful stroll bumped into us; ha ha. We prayed for him on that path, so ‘that’s it’ for him now then! Wish we could know what happens next in his life.

Another young guy called Dan,(see pic above) totally open, and READY for what we were about to tell him and once again happy for us to pray for him by the main road! Also a mile from the centre of Sheffield we prayed for a young Muslem man, Rich Madeley prophesied over him, amazing stuff!

LOTS OF TEENAGERS ARE ASKING TO COME WITH US ON THE WALK NOW!!! Just Today three different groups of young people have asked to come with us! (and that’s after we tell them of Jesus!)
