DAY 80 – SOUTH COAST OF BRIGHTON
August 20, 2008
OVER THE HILL AND FAR AWAY

Leaving Torch centre, Hurstpierpoint where Mark Brooks, Mathew Nye and me, stayed over night, we set off for BRIGHTON! But first, we tackled the steepside of Wolstonbury Hill! It just seemed the right thing to do, not only because it was a mere 10 miles to sea front, but because we wanted to take the ‘high ground’. It was special raising the banner and praying on the hill.
The final straight passed the Raj pavillion toward the pier was amazing. A small crowd were there to greet us, friends and family from my church and a couple of new friends from locality ( great to see Steve Burton from Crawley). Mark Pickett turned up just in time with his guitar for one last blast of his song written specifically for the Walk!

I felt compelled to spend a private moment on the beach, feet in the sea water, Crown flag raised, just the way i started on the 1st June, Thurso beach. Then Mathew Nye ran down to me for what turned out to be a symbolic act! He was asking to take up the standard for his own generation, and to receive a ‘heart on fire’, an overwhelming love for souls! This is all I could ask for, I am lossed for words over God’s Grace and mercy these last few months.

I want to say THANKYOU to everyone, who together, has made this mission happen. Some especially I need to thank, who have really sacrificed time, money and energy and have had to put up with me!!!But I want to stay indebted to the Lord for the amazing priviledge he has given me. Thankyou Lord, You are Awesome!
DAY 78 – Sharing at Elim Church, Crawley
August 18, 2008
The congregation seemed to be very encouraged as we raised the Crown flag and gave testimony to some of the things God has done through the UK.

The congregation stood as the proclaimation was made, ” a sound of battle is in the land…….”
Later on that day I managed to meet up with Paul Taylor for a brief ,but really special time of mutual encouragement. What a man of God!

And, i stayed over night at Roy Thorning’s house! Fantastic!! It was great to see him, Estelle his wife and Nathan, who is now bigger than his dad
Tomorrow I walk out of Crawley towards Hurstpierpoint.
DAY 77 – CRAWLEY TOWN CENTRE
August 18, 2008
RENT A TEAM!!

Here’s yet another group of young people who having heard what i was doing, worked with me in the town centre giving out gospel tracts!

This Policeman was very happy to stop and chat.

This is William from Paul Taylor’s church (K.F Crawley) who joined me a bit later on. William is a great soldier for Christ, and we had a fruitful time together putting out seed in Crawley.
Email from Pastor Phil Johnston – City Church, St Albans
August 16, 2008
Just to say what an inspirational day with Mike his encouraging word was a real confirmation of what God has been speaking to us as a Church this year.
Many comments from those in attendance testifying to an encounter with God and a stirring of boldness and obedience in their hearts.
Thanks for the deposit Mike!
Go take a City
DAY 74- ARRIVED AT MY HOME TOWN
August 14, 2008
A GREAT WELCOME FROM MANY MEMBERS OF ARC
Waiting at the border of Mitcham were members of my home church and in my approach there were claps of thunder and rain, did it rain!! Here is a picture of the walk into Mitcham with body guards all around me!!

Later at St Mark’s church a buffet tea was set out and many friends and family gathered to hear encouraging testimony. After Mike spoke he gave a call for any who wanted to receive from God to meet in the church where Mike and Rev. Steve Coulson would be laying hands and praying for a special impartation! A special moment as two ministers worked together in great unity for the town!
DAY 73 – THROUGH MARBLE ARCH INTO ‘CITY OF LONDON’
August 13, 2008

PRAISE GOD! ‘LONDON’ I’m finally here! A great chance to really pray and declare to the capital. From Marble Arch I marched with the Crown Flag to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament and Trafalgar Square; then on to Leicester square to meet up with a team from All Nations Revival Church, Mitcham.

The London team
Some pictures of the team in action:

Later I had another fruitful time ministering The call ‘To Arise’ at Kingdom Faith Church London. Here are some members from KF London with Pastors Les & Dot Mitchell

I was blessed by being put up in a B&B around the corner from Les & Dot’s, slightly unusual though, all guests had to sit around one big table for breakfast! The morning of my departure, whilst sat at the table with all these strangers, the Polish landlady stood by and said in a very authorititive voice,”Tell them Mike what you have been doing.” So with everyone staring at me, I began with explaining the walk and then with an atmosphere shift in the room (which I believe everyone felt!) gave me liberty to really proclaim the good news of the Kingdom! You could have heard a pin drop! Thank God, it was such a great moment and the presence of God was so there. Just before I left, I nipped up stairs and grabbed some gospel booklets to pass out to those around the table. Leaving, the Polish lady said “Please pray for us won’t you”!!!
DAY 72 – ON THE ROMAN ROAD TO LONDON – NEW BIRTH IN EDGEWARE
August 12, 2008
A WOMAN WITH 4 CHILDREN COULDN’T BELIEVE THAT THE MAN WITH THE FLAG COULD MAKE IT DOWN THE HILL FASTER THAN THE BUS!!
I didn’t know that a family were watching my progress from a bus as i walked through Edgeware, North London. Having got off the bus a Mother of 4 shouted over the road, enquiring about the walk, and after a brief chat invited me to her house for refreshment break. She explained that she went to church but I felt that she needed to be born again! Itold her that God had sent me as an answer to so much prayer offered up for her. And after just a short time explaining the Cross, she asked Jesus to save her and received Him as Her Lord!!! Praise God, Praise God and Praise God.

This is Linda Nassor, Nana from ARC has already phoned her, for initial support!

This is when a group of lads wanted to walk with me as I approached London

This guy’s name is Richard Taylor, a christian gypsy
who currently is attending a mission in Watford called ‘Light and Life’
DAY 71 – ‘MINISTERING AT ‘CITY CHURCH’, ST ALBANS
August 11, 2008
A GREAT NUMBER OF YOUNG PEOPLE RESPOND TO THE CALL TO ARISE
There must have been some 35 young adults (of whom, a good percentage were young men!) responding to a call to ‘Arise and shine’. And in the second alter call a majority of the church quickly made there way to the front, hungry for God to use them! After the alter call a lady who previously was involved in a car accident, injuring her hip and back-the pain had been getting worse; testified that after prayer, all the pain was gone!
This is a great church, but not surprising having spent time with the Pastor ( Pastor Phil Johnston ) and hearing his heart! St. Albans stands geographically in a real strategic place, A gateway to London
Pictures are not great, but show the 10.30am meeting today

DAY 70- SHORT STRETCH TO ST. ALBANS
August 9, 2008
MORE SEEDS SOWN ALONG THE ROMAN ROAD ( Watling street )
Even though it was raining, people were still happy to stop and enquire. I had a really good conversation with two Muslims who were surprised to meet a Christian passionate about his belief!
This is Asif and Rossanna

And two interested ladies from the ’sandwich box’ Redbourne
Don’t have a picture, but i had a real divine appointment with some lads into the ‘gang thing’, talking to me from a blacked out kit- car. The leader was ‘well impressed’ with the walk and listened attentively as i witnessed! I become more and more convinced that the mandate is to tap into the hearts of generation desperate, not for a service or a programme, but for ‘a cause’ to live and possibly die for!
Tommorrow morning i will be preaching at City Church, St Albans
DAY 69-’JOURNEY ALONG THE UNION CANAL- TOWARD ST. ALBAN’S
August 9, 2008
As I walk up the road and take a look over my shoulder, it’s a huge thrill to see someone I just talked to, reading a gospel tract! This happens all the time, as it did today, regularly along the Grand Union Canal that runs through Milton Keynes. Many who were fishing were glad of something to read as well.
I had a really fruitful time with some of the ‘boaty’s!! Here are one or two,
This is Ian and Garren
Airly, who i will remember, felt it uncanny that i gave her a tract about faith in God at that particular time in her life!
