A WOMAN WITH 4 CHILDREN COULDN’T BELIEVE THAT THE MAN WITH THE FLAG COULD MAKE IT DOWN THE HILL FASTER THAN THE BUS!!

I didn’t know that a family were watching my progress from a bus as i walked through Edgeware, North London. Having got off the bus a Mother of 4 shouted over the road, enquiring about the walk, and after a brief chat invited me to her house for refreshment break. She explained that she went to church but I felt that she needed to be born again! Itold her that God had sent me as an answer to so much prayer offered up for her. And after just a short time explaining the Cross, she asked Jesus to save her and received Him as Her Lord!!! Praise God, Praise God and Praise God.

This is Linda Nassor, Nana from ARC has already phoned her, for initial support!

This is when a group of lads wanted to walk with me as I approached London

This guy’s name is Richard Taylor, a christian gypsy
who currently is attending a mission in Watford called ‘Light and Life’

Marching to Edinburgh

June 21, 2008

Walking along the beside Union canal towards Edinburgh I bumped into a man called Tom Reid, having reeled off my opening lines, he suggested that I was waisting my time, ” there’s no hope for me,” he said, ” I have been a bad man!”

“Well actually,” I replied, “There is every Hope for you”. We talked for about 20mins and at one point God really touched him. He didn’t want me to leave! and asked if we could talk again. I gave him my personal mob. number and told him to call after he had read the tract.

Mark Pickett has joined the team. He arrived at a good moment, but I’ll let him tell you about that.

After being picked up in Edinburgh by Mark Brooks, we drove to meet pastor Mike at his finish point for the day. We found him outside a Hyundai car showroom, talking to one of the salesmen. Apparently, just as PM arrived outside with the Crown Flag, the salesman, Robert, had been having a heated discussion with a christian colleague, who had been…”Trying to convert me!” he told his colleague, “If there is a God, then I need a sign!”…. Immediately after saying that, he noticed someone carrying a huge red flag with a crown on.

When he went outside to ask what the guy was doing on his forecourt, and the meaning of the flag, he pinched his cheeks and said…”I don’t believe this!!!!” He invited Mike in, bought him a coke and related his discussion of a few moments earlier with his workmate. This gave Mike a great opportunity to witness.

Does God have a sense of humour or what! Amen! Mark P.

P.S. Even the highland cattle have heard of the ‘moooove of the spirit’ but Brooksie was just a little eenvious of the hairpeace! LOL!

This next encounter was worth walking 301miles for!

As I approached Bo’ness ( 22 miles outside Edinburgh ) along the A904 and very close to the traffic, the usual bibbing, cheers and ” go-on son” ( and other expressions!!) from passing cars and lorries. A young man who hadn’t seen me coming thought the cars were bibbing at him, then he turned and saw the flag! We chatted for a bit, his name was Simon and on his way to his girl friend’s house. He listened attentively as I explained why the Gospel is good news; he said,” I think God is communicating to me, through you”. Later he said,” it makes sense what you’re saying”. I talked to him about the moment, how God had planned our meeting. He walked the whole length of the town right by my side! Before we parted he had come to a place of seriously considering praying the ’sinners prayer’. He took my private number, so he could phone me when he’d done it.

So, Simon, if your reading this, have you done it yet?

“Heavenly Father, I now see I didn’t know where I was going. I was lost and without true meaning in my life. But now I see that Jesus is the answer and the true way. Forgive me, change me, and set me on the right path. I accept Jesus Christ as my Saviour, Lord and God. Thank you for giving me new life, Amen.”

Also, Hello to David & Lillius from Bo’ness Baptist church, who stopped and chatted to me, thank you for your encouraging words.

Today I’m walking with Mike Castle, a group of old ladies passed and I let Mike Castle talk to them, he did a great job and they were left in no doubt of how to be saved.

Yesterday whilst standing in town with the Crown Flag, praying for the people of Aviemore, a certain young man on a bicycle looking very jaundiced passed on the other side of the road. I was praying that he would enquire. Four times we walked past each other but had no contact.

Today, three miles into our journey who was to ride past? But the same guy. This time he stopped and asked about the Crown Flag. He was from Germany, his name was Matteaus. I shared the gospel with him and he was really attentive and then I asked him about his health (no words of knowledge needed on this occasion). I prayed that the disease would leave his body and all liver damage to be healed in the Name of Jesus. Mike Castle and I were quite confident that he had received his healing and recovery had begun immediately. This young german man finally left looking really stunned by the whole deal – he got far more than he bargained for!

Raise up a banner for the people – Isaiah 62:10

At 3.15pm I walked past a school at home time in a town called Kingussie. A whole bunch of children followed me to the end of the road like a platoon of soldiers, one after another inquiring what it was all about. I really enjoyed this.

A struggling Christian a long way from home restored to faith

Arrived in Newtonmore town at 4pm, a Ghanaian man was coming towards me and when I explained the reason behind walking with the Crown Flag, his face lit up. He told me how he had really slipped since being in the area, he was very happy for me to pray for him there at the roadside so I did. Then the Spirit came upon him immediately and he had a real encounter with God. Praise God! One step to freedom. Two young ladies came along who he obviously knew and he said to them “I want you to meet this powerful man!” How funny!

I have the honour of Mark Brooks walking with me today, at least for the first part. Three cyclists on a charity ride stopped and were so impressed with our mission that they wanted to advertise what we were doing on their blog!

Loads more enquiries on the way including two teenage girls, a real seed was sown and both took tracts away with them. Once I arrived in Aviemore I was impressed to stay in the town centre, raising the Crown Flag and praying for the local people.

After thirty minutes an athiest came along, he didn’t make a decision for Christ but at least we dealt with the athiest thing!

At 7.30pm at the campsite, Hugh and Mary, (our new friends) from Inverness drove 39 miles just to bring us a home cooked meal.

Had some trouble finding our way out of Inverness, walked round in a circle for the first hour. Maybe we hadn’t done everything we were supposed to do in the city.

We stood on the bridge, it was extremely windy and the Crown Flag was blown in lots of different directions. TRULY THERE WAS ‘A SOUND OF BATTLE IN THE LAND’. Make no mistake every step we take with this flag is an act of war.

”..the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” (Matt 11:12)

It’s like us as we walk through the villages and towns, we leave behind us the hosts of heaven fighting and contending for the souls of mankind.

Day 8 – Inverness

June 8, 2008

No walking today!

Went to a church in the centre. We had to lower the flag to get through the entrance, Mike said to one lady “I don’t like to lower the standard”, the reply followed, “You’ll have to lower it if you want to come in here!”. There seemed to be little interest regards to the ‘for honour’ walk, crown flag and what it stood for, and we were left standing at the back.

We then went to ‘Kings Fellowship’ just outside the city centre.

We were made very welcome by Pastor Thom Raller and were given much honour and invited forward to the front of the church with the crown flag.

Mike was handed the mic and he shared the vision of the walk he was undertaking. The prophetic word was released ‘Arise shine church, your light has already come’

Great church!

We also said goodbye to Jon Cook today as he left on a plane at 3pm to fly back to London.

Mike Castle arrived yesterday and he joins me on the walk today.

If a man builds a house, he should build on a good foundation

Have not been walking long through the Black Isle region (known for its practice of the black arts and the occult) when we passed a young man building his future family home. It was like this guy was waiting for someone to tell him about Jesus. It would have been easy through applying a bit of pressure to get this guy to pray the sinners prayer. But there was no need in this case, the Holy Spirit was doing all the work, Hallelujah!

We got a quarter of a mile up the road and I got prompted to go back and give the fellow a tract and a Johns gospel – leaving Mike holding the flag. We both agreed it was a divine setup as Mike could have taken us a different way.

A family pulled up in a car and asked me if I knew where the rescue centre was. So I said “you are asking a man with a huge flag that represents the Kingdom of God, where the rescue centre is! well I guess thats me”. Another chance to witness for Christ, no immediate response, but a great seed sown.

Later I was treated to a drink by one person and given £5 by another.

Reached Inverness city centre at 4.30pm, almost immediately surrounded by teenagers who were attracted to the flag.

Another marathon of a day! I think I deserve a chinese and Brooksie is here just in time for the take away.

Today was about endurance!

23 miles!! Three of them because I got lost, I don’t believe it, and all Jon Cook could do was laugh!!

Loads of enquiries and even a farmer in his tractor chased me down the hill because curiosity got the better of him.

Made it to Craighead 6.40pm.

A long day!
